Hot Off the Griddle!

Here’s some exciting news: chef demonstrations – a new feature at last year’s Seedy Saturday – are back this year.

At 11 am, Chef Laura Moore of The Good For You Gourmet will be making hot and sour soup with goji berries, and very generously handing out samples and the recipe for those who wish to make it at home.

At noon, we’ll hear “All About Sides” from Chef Sandra Holomis of What’s for Dinner? She’ll be demonstrating some fast and simple ways to turn fresh local vegetables and herbs into particularly tasty side dishes.

At 1 pm, Chef Joseph Lake of the popular Westshore Joseph’s Coffee House, will be whipping up gluten-free pancakes, made with bean flours.

And at 2 pm, Chef Gianfranco Mosca returns to Seedy Saturday, bringing his Italian flair to the creation of risotto with zucchini and prawns.

All demonstrations will be held in the exhibition area of Seedy Saturday, February 16th at the Victoria Conference Centre, and are included in the price of admission. So stop by and get some ideas of what to do with all those wonderful ingredients you are going to grow this year.
