Want a Growing Business?

Want a Growing Business?

Do you think it’s about time you put your plants to work? Sure, you may eat some of them, but what have they done for you lately? Isn’t it about time they started paying some of the bills? If you’ve been having thoughts like these in the middle of the night, then Seedy Saturday has a talk for you.

Robin Tunnicliffe, who has successfully farmed organic vegetables near Victoria for the past 14 years, will offer advice to those who want to start growing for a living. She’ll cover how to find land, where to get information and advice, and how to sell what you grow.

“Growing for a Living! What can local would-be growers do to access land, mentorship, and markets?”, February 16, 10:15 am at the Victoria Conference Centre, 720 Douglas Street, is included in your admission to Victoria’s Seedy Saturday on a first-come-first-get-the-seats basis. Seedy Saturday runs from 10 to 4, admission $7, free for the under-12s.

Thanks to CR-FAIR for sponsoring “Food Wasted or Food Rescued”.
